Samantha Rezentes

Samantha Rezentes is an artisan, children's book author, keen outdoorswoman, and mother of two. She was lucky enough to grow up near the shores of the Atlantic. Spending much of her childhood on the beaches of Tybee and Jekyll Islands, astride a horse on the swampy trails of her native southeast Georgia, or fishing the tannin-black waters of Ebenezer Creek, Samantha was introduced early to the wonders of the natural world.

Samantha’s travels have taken her from coast to coast, studying veterinary technology, marine biology, ecology, and animal husbandry along the way- even learning to train cutting horses in California.

Her passion for the environment and its inhabitants, coupled with the wide-eyed enthusiasm of her own children, inspired Samantha to write and illustrate the Curious Cooper series in hopes of instilling a similar love and interest in children and their parents around the globe.

Samantha lives with her husband and two children, the real Cooper and Remi, and their many animals on their small hobby farm northwest of Savannah, Georgia where she writes, paints, rides, and creates tooled leather pieces under the name Sabrecraft Custom.
