Kim Ford is a Christian author, writing in the genre of Children's Literature. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Houghton College, and earned an M.A. in Biblical Counseling. Originally from New Jersey, she and her husband moved to Alaska in 1991 where their family grew. A proud mother of three children and seven grandchildren, Kim is passionate about the value and sanctity of human life.
She entered into the Pregnancy Care Ministry over two decades ago and felt inspired to write for children to help them learn about the sanctity of human life, fetal development at a primary level, and understand God’s partnership with humanity including His desire for us to have a fulfilled, meaningful life lived as a child of God.
Her new series, “Made For Our Family,” covers topics to help children understand and prepare for a new child (or two) coming into the family. These include:

Kim's first book in the Made For Our Familyseries is titled The Big Surprise, exploring the topics of discovering being pregnant, seeing an ultrasound/ sonogram, and understanding what an unborn baby can do or know. The Big Surprise is scheduled for release Fall 2025 by Relevant Publishers LLC.
Kim hosts a blog on Christian topics called The Steadfast Butterfly and writes for the Faith Column in The Frontiersman newspaper, a local periodical with over 20,000 subscribers.
